The Panzer III Ausf. M was a German medium tank used during World War II, produced from 1943 to 1945 with 250 units built. It featured a 50mm KwK 39 L/60 main gun and two MG34 machine guns. Powered by a 300 hp Maybach HL 120 TRM engine, it could reach speeds of 40 km/h with a range of 155 km on roads. The tank’s armor was up to 70 mm thick. The Ausf. M variant included enhancements for amphibious operations and improved overall performance, making it effective in both infantry support and anti-tank roles.
The Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf. M was a widely used German medium tank during World War II, particularly notable for its role in the Battle of Kursk. The addition of skirts (Schürzen) provided extra protection against anti-tank weapons.
